Am I a good candidate for neck lift?
The best candidates for neck lift are patients who are dissatisfied with the appearance of their neck due to jowls, a double chin, turkey wattle or any other concern. How is neck lift performed?
Neck lift is performed by Dr. Basner as an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia. The procedure can range from two to several hours to complete. First, Dr. Basner makes incisions behind the ears and under the chin. Next, he trims the excess skin and, in some cases, removes or rearranges underlying muscles to eliminate banding. Finally, he closes the incisions with sutures.
What are the risks of neck lift?
As with any surgery, neck lift is associated with some risks, including infection and bleeding. However, when performed by Dr. Basner, the neck lift procedure rarely results in complications.
