Abdominoplasty

Abdominoplasty, or “tummy tuck,” is a cosmetic surgery procedure used to make the abdomen flatter and more firm. The surgery involves the removal of excess skin and fat from the lower and middle abdomen as well as the tightening of the muscles along the abdominal wall. As a result of the tightening of stomach muscles, tummy tuck Baltimore patients are also able to achieve a much smaller waistline.

Abdominoplasty surgery is generally sought by patients who have had one or more pregnancy or who have sagging skin after losing a significant amount of weight. Abdominoplasty can also be combined with other body sculpting procedures for a post-pregnancy treatment known as “mommy makeover” or after weight loss surgery for a procedure known as post-bariatric body contouring.
