Liposuction

Liposuction is a cosmetic surgery procedure used to suction out fat deposits located under the skin. Liposuction surgery can be performed on any area of the body affected by stubborn fat deposits that have proven to be resistant to dieting and exercise. Most liposuction Baltimore patients visit Dr. Basner to reduce the appearance of excess fat around the waist, buttocks, thighs, arms and neck. The procedure generally involves small incisions and the use of a cannula to loosen and vacuum fat deposits from under the skin. Once this is accomplished, the incisions are closed with fine sutures.

The best candidates for liposuction surgery are individuals who are unhappy with their physical appearance due to excess fat that has accumulated in a particular area of the body.
