Exposure to the sun is the number one cause of premature skin aging. With summer fast approaching it's a great time to summarize the basics of skin protection.
Use sunscreen daily. When the sun is at its brightest, it can penetrate car windows and even beach umbrellas to cause damage to your skin. A sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher is recommended.
1. Wear tight woven clothing and wide brimmed hats when spending time in direct sunlight.
2. Try to avoid direct sunlight in the hours between 10am and 4pm.
