Hi I’m Dr. Adam Basner and I’m a board-certified plastic surgeon in Baltimore, Maryland. Many people are unsure what board certification means and basically there’s a national organization that certifies doctors who graduate from accredited residency programs. There’s only one certification and that’s plastic surgery board certified plastic surgeon. Do not be fooled by other people representing themselves as cosmetic surgeons or aesthetic surgeons or anything else that doesn’t say board-certified plastic surgeon then it’s not from the nationally-regulated, accredited agency and it’s really not worth the paper it’s printed off.
