Meet Baltimore Plastic Surgeon, Adam L. Basner, M.D.

Hi, I’m Dr. Adam Basner. I’m a board-certified plastic surgeon and my practice is in Baltimore, Maryland. One of the really interesting things about plastic surgery that you can’t appreciate until you’ve done it for many years is the effect it has on people’s lives. You know, people sort of think well if I get one small part fixed or corrected that part will be better and then you know the benefits are done. But really what happens is when you improve something that’s important to you it really has a tremendous global impact on how people feel about themselves much more so than an isolated benefit to one little area that we’re operating on. One of the big fears people have of plastic surgery is looking unnatural and it is a real concern if things aren’t done well and all the more reason to go to an experienced plastic surgeon. One of the key things when you meet with the plastic surgeon is you want to look at a lot of before and after photos. You want to make sure what the plastic surgeon thinks looks good looks good to you as well. And there’s a lot of judgement involved and it’s not always a right or wrong issue. It’s more a question of making sure you see eye to eye cosmetically with the surgeon’s judgement. We realize patients have choices to go to any plastic surgeon in the area but we are very confident that when a patient comes here they will see our practice stands out from the rest. We really want to make a patient feel comfortable, let the patient know they can contact us anytime they need anything.
